BIOTRANS S.A. declares zero tolerance for all forms of active and passive bribery. The company strictly prohibits bribery in any form, including monetary or other types of payments, whether direct or indirect (such as offering business opportunities, employment positions, favorable contracts, donations, travel, gifts, or hospitality), intended to obtain, retain, or secure an improper advantage for the company.
In this context, the company has incorporated into its Quality Management System the requirements of ISO 37001:2016 “Anti-Bribery Management System” and is committed to full compliance with it.
The anti-bribery preventive measures are expressed within the processes of the company’s Quality System and include:
- Identification of bribery risks.
- Compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks concerning bribery.
- Implementation of policies and rules to ensure ethical business practices.
- Regular review of the suitability of the policy for the company’s objectives.
- Establishment of specific anti-bribery objectives.
- Conducting due diligence checks on involved personnel and business partners.
- Ongoing staff training aimed at preventing bribery and encouraging the reporting of incidents.
- Provision of whistleblower protection.
- Ensuring the independence and impartiality of the Anti-Bribery function.
- Provision of an anonymous reporting mechanism.
- Impartial investigation of bribery incidents and enforcement of consequences for those involved.
The principles of the system and the quality-related objectives are regularly reviewed by the Management Body to ensure continuous improvement. Management is committed to providing the necessary resources for the implementation and maintenance of the Anti-Bribery Management System. All company departments are responsible for complying with, internalizing, and applying the system’s procedures in their daily activities.
It is also the responsibility of the company’s Management to ensure that the Anti-Bribery Policy is communicated, understood, and implemented by all company personnel.
